9. Get your hair cut on your lunch break with Groupon Now!

Deals to go: Groupon has quietly debuted a new service called <a href="http://www.groupon.com/now" target="_blank">Groupon Now! I love this idea because it means you can browse for good deals in your area, sometimes available for only a few hours. Follow that link, enter your zip code, city or neighborhood, and they'll list the deals. When I tried it, I chose the "eat" category and was offered just over half off at Usagi Ya sushi, nearly 7 miles away. Hmm. Then I switched from the Oak Park area code to downtown, and found a lot of nearby discounts, but smaller ones than Groupon usually offers -- like 30 percent off a massage or 33 percent off a facial. Like the new Cheapism thing on FourSquare, Groupon Now! is targeted at smartphone users. I'll download the app and let you know what I think. Here's a Trib story about the new service.
